Alison is continually amazed by the mind-body connection and strives to support each client in his/her/their unique healing path.
Teaching: Alison began teaching in 2014. Teaching is one of her great joys. She offers a variety of classes, and she is on the faculty of the Potomac Massage Training Institute, teaching the Introduction to Energy Healing and Eastern Energy classes. She has taught at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), the United States Postal Service Headquarters (USPS), Hope Connections Cancer Support Center, Shady Grove Hospital Aquilino Cancer Center, Montgomery County Homeless Shelters, and more. Whether Alison is facilitating an Intuition Development group or teaching stressed-out employees a calming acupressure sequence, Alison brings her experience and insights into the classroom. Her classes are warm, fun, and always applicable.
Intuition Development: Alison has been working to develop her intuition for over two decades, beginning with a profoundly psychic experience during college. Her intuitive teachers and inspiration include Tiffany Barsotti, Judith Orloff, Donna Blank, Jessica Peppler, and trainers at The Monroe Institute. She is passionate about enabling people to find greater ease and joy in their lives through connecting with their soul’s wisdom. If the client chooses, angelic healing is woven into Alison's Reiki energy healing sessions.
Interests: Her understanding of the body and nervous system is enhanced by her longtime practices of Iyengar yoga, mindfulness meditation, and the Feldenkrais Method. Her work and life are greatly influenced by Non-Violent Communication and Respectful Confrontation. In addition, she is an avid swimmer, bicyclist, and runner. She is also a strong supporter of small farms and nutrient-dense, traditional foods.
Basics: Alison is a graduate of Haverford College and holds a B.A. in socio-cultural anthropology. She has a delightful daughter who is one of Alison's primary teachers.
